COMPONENT-A

Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar (Net-Metering)

Install rooftop solar to power household loads during the day. Excess generation, if permitted, is exported to the grid and adjusted in your electricity bill as per DISCOM policy.

COMPONENT-B

Government Subsidy for Homes (CFA)

Eligible homeowners receive Central Financial Assistance (CFA) under PM Surya Ghar. Subsidy is credited only after successful installation, inspection and commissioning.

COMPONENT-C

Safe, Compliant & Inspection-Ready Systems

Standardised design, proper earthing, protections, and documentation (SLD, test reports, warranties) aligned with DISCOM and electrical safety requirements.

Who Can Apply

Farmers, FPOs and local bodies with agri-land or pump sets near substations are eligible to apply for the PM-KUSUM program.

Individual Homeowners

Independent houses or villas with RCC, tiled, or sheet roofs and a valid electricity connection.

Apartments & RWAs (Common Areas)

Societies can install solar for common facilities such as lifts, lighting, water pumps, and EV charging (subject to DISCOM norms).

Gated Communities

Larger residential developments with shared rooftops and structured approvals.
